This document is an up-to-date, authoritative specification of all metadata terms maintained by the SemSur LOD services.
Each term is specified with the following minimal set of attributes:
| Name: | A token appended to the URI of a DCMI namespace to create the URI of the term. |
| Label: | The human-readable label assigned to the term. |
| URI: | The Uniform Resource Identifier used to uniquely identify a term. |
| Definition: | A statement that represents the concept and essential nature of the term. |
Where applicable, the following attributes provide additional information about a term:

| Has Domain: | A Class of which a resource described by the term is an Instance. |

We have selected the most closelyrelated ontologies listed in the Linked Open Vocabularies (LOV) directory10. SemSur is aligned and linkedwith the following related ontologies from three categories: 1) fordescribing scholarly articleswe reusedthe DC, SWRC, DoCO, EXPO and FOAF ontologies, 2) fordescribing the inner structure of a scientificarticleindependently of the field of research we reused DEO and LSC, and 3) fordescribing concepts ofspecific fields of researchwe reused MLS and DOAP. Recently, EXPO becomes no longer available online. Therefore, we provide a link for it in order to load it locally from EXPO.
